Day 19: September 18, 2009, Friday

Very nice day.  I went to the mall with my roommate and another person.  He needed a duffel bag for roller hockey and my roommate needed art supplies.  We went searching around the mall for this bag, but came up empty after going to every sports supplies store and travel stores.  In the end, we found a very good bag, but it was over $400 and he did not want to spend that much money.  After this we went to border's.  There I bought a dvd of the film, "Serenity."  I had just finished the series, "Firefly," on Hulu, so I am looking forward to watching this video, which is the continuation of the series.  I also bought a book:  "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress," by Robert A. Heinlein.  It is a very famous science fiction novel about a colony on the moon, which gets fed up with encroaching government and therefore decides to revolt.  I look forward to reading this novel, because I have been looking for it in many bookstores and this is the first time I have found it.  After Border's we went to an art supplies store, where my roommate got the supplies he needed.

Day 18: September 17, 2009, Thursday

Something very exciting happend today.  I was going to class as I always do, but when I walked into Stephens Hall I realized that all the New York Times were gone!  Oh no!  Well I was not going to rest until I got my daily newspaper.  Therefore I began the journey to the University Union, where I knew they had newspapers.  I found one.  Hazzah!!!!  I jumped up and screamed at the top of lungs that I had succeeded.  Well maybe that last part did not happen.

Day 17: September 16, 2009, Wednesday

Today was not very bad after all my classes were over.  However, I spent much of my time in between classes finishing up some English work, so I could get it done before two in time for class.  After English, my roommate and I were going to help someone on our floor bring some boxes from the union to his dorm.  He is going to be on the roller hockey team and tryouts are this weekend.  We were walking down the road, when we saw him coming with two giant boxes.  We offered to help, but he said he would be fine carrying it back himself.  He said he needed a third box, so we walked with him back to the union and I got some peanut butter at the school store while I was there.  After that I had to go back to my dorm to finish up some Microeconomics homework before an "experiment" online where we participate in an active market as buyers or sellers of goods.  It was going fine, until the fire alarm went off and I had to go outside.  I missed much of the experiment, but many others did as well.

Day 16: September 15, 2009, Tuesday

I didn't enjoy today very much.  I did not get much sleep last night because I stayed up late, then I spent all of the afternoon trying to finish my English paper.  I could not think of anything good to add and felt like I was just writing down a list of events.  Anyway, I will probably edit it again soon and make it more refined.  I skipped Financial Management Association and the Wall Street Investors' Investment Club.  I hope I did not miss any important information.  I want to get a position in Wiic, but I don't know if I will be able to be counted on if I am given a lot of responsibility.

Day 15: September 14, 2009, Monday

Good day.  This was also the busiest day so far.  I had five classes today, because I went to my first class of the "Choral Society."  It was a lot of fun, though I did not have any checks to pay for my music, so I will have to do that next week.  I borrowed a copy for the class.  As soon as we got up to sing, I knew this was a fast-paced group.  We went right through the music as soon as we warmed up.  I was a bit overwhelmed by the time it took for the group to learn the music, and by overwhelmed I mean I could not really keep up and simply mouthed along some parts.  However, it was a lot of fun and I am really excited to learn some of the music, my favorite being the "William Tell Overture"!  The picture I took is not really related, but I forgot to take one until I was passing the stage, but choral practice is in the Center for the Arts.  I forgot to mention that I also had an Accounting Club meeting.  I was on time, but there were so many already there that I had to stand in the doorway and observe the speaker from there.  It was very helpful though and I will try to go there earlier next time.

Day 14: September 13, 2009, Sunday

It was a very quiet day.  I woke up late, around 11 am.  I then went to lunch with my roommate at "PAWS" restaurant.  I had never been over there since honors orientation.  The room was very empty, except for the line at the counter and the few people sitting by the televisions watching the Ravens game.  After we ate, we went back to our room and did homework.  I had a lot of trouble concentrating.  I did half of my English essay and finished my assignment for the reading I did yesterday.  I still have to read some for my other classes which I will do tonight.  I feel overwhelmed with reading, but I believe I will somehow get it done, or I will not and stay behind.  Hopefully my professors will lecture about what I will miss in the classes.  Later I went to Glen dining hall with my roommate and some people from my floor.  The food is not as good as Newell and everything looks like it has been sitting out too long.  Mmmm.
