Day 68: November 7, 2009, Saturday

Art History Symposium!  This morning my roommate and I woke up early to attend a Art History Symposium put on by the Art History Club, which we are a part of.  It was several hours long, with the keynote speaker being Amy Sowder, an assistant professor of Art History doing a presentation entitled, "Far from Fountains: Inscriptions on Broze Hydriai and the Importance of Water Jars in Ancient Greece."  It dealt with the inscriptions on Hydriai, which are containers used to carry water throughout history in almost every civilization.  It was very interesting as were the other presentations, though I had seen them all before on Thursday.  There was a reception following the presentations, but my roommate and I did not stay because we went to go eat lunch.  Later, we went to the mall with one of our friends and my roommate bought a jacket.  Then, we went to Super Fresh to get snacks.  I did not get any because I am trying to save money.

Day 67: November 6, 2009, Friday

Most of my day was spent in dread, hoping my classes were not full as I had to schedule my classes for next semester today in real time, along with everyone else in the honors college.  I was forced to wait until 4:00pm to start enrolling in classes, a full hour and a half after my roommate.  Luckily, I was able to get into all the classes I wanted to!  I am very happy with my schedule, which I took a picture of.

Day 66: November 4, 2009, Thursday

Art History Club was a lot of fun today!  We watched presentations that are going to be given at the Art History Symposium on Saturday.  They were very interesting, one dealing with a gay new mannerist art and another dealing with documentary film maker Wener Herzog and the art of "Stylization and Fabrication" in documentary film making.  I enjoyed all of them and am proud to be part of the group that made their presentations possible.

Day 65: November 3, 2009, Wednesday

Today I wasted much of the time I had to do homework not doing anything important.  Most of that time was spent uploading CDs my roommate and I rented from the library.

Day 64: November 2, 2009, Tuesday

TANSTAAFL!  "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch!"  Today I finished my book, "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" by Robert A. Heinlein.  Not only is it a great work of science fiction, but also a great political novel, dealing with revolution, government, and anarchism.

Day 63: November 1, 2009, Monday

Daylight Savings Time.  I set my alarm for 10am and slept for an hour.  Luckly it was still 10am when I woke up!  After getting up, I went to Dunkin Donuts and got a bagle with chive cream cheese...mmm...Then I went back to Towson.  My father had ordered me some books online dealing with business and accounting, so I had to re-organize my bookshelf accordingly.

Day 62: October 31, 2009, Sunday

Today was a very nice day.  I went to "Toby's Dinner Theater" with my father and sister to see, "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."  I was excited to see what similarities and differences it would have compared to the production my friends and I put on.  It was similar in many ways and though I, at first, did not like, I quickly warmed up to the songs and the great, though different, acting.
